At 10:30 PM on August 3, Jingzhou Railway Station suspending operation was not as quiet as it used to be. Nearly 10 professionals were disinfecting the waiting hall and platform in an all-round way. Such massive disinfection will be on a daily basis.
"To keep all passengers safe, we have strengthened all epidemic prevention and control measures," said a head of the station. There are currently large reserves of anti-epidemic supplies in the station and an emergency disposal area has been opened. All the staff of the station has received a nucleic acid test and health monitoring three times a day with results recorded, and the station's epidemic prevention team has reported results to the Headquarters of Jingzhou District on Epidemic Prevention and Control. Articles frequently touched by passengers, including self-service ticket vending machines, ticket windows, turnstiles, seats and stair armrests, have been disinfected more frequently, and professionals have been assigned to disinfect these articles when necessary.
Besides, the station has strengthened entrance checks.
At around 8 PM, volunteers and staff were guiding few passengers in having codes checked and temperatures taken at the station entrance. A tourist notice was broadcast in loop in the waiting hall, reminding passengers to protect themselves by sitting apart.
The rail department reminds passengers to strictly conform to the requirements of local epidemic prevention and control departments and rail stations alongside personal hygienic protection.
